Some sources show she was previously married to a MEADOR. As far as I know, she was NOT. Her sister, Frances GILMORE, married Thomas MEADOR, and they also moved to Sumner Co., TN.

Know all men by these presents that we John Weatherred and Joseph Gilmore are held and firmly bound unto Robert Brook Esq. Governor or chief magistrate of this Comwth in the just and full sum of 150 dollars to be paid to the sd. Brook or his successors in office for the use of this Commwth, to which payment will and truly to be made, we bind ourselves our heirs exors and admns jointly and severally firmly by these presents sealed with our seals and dated this 13th day of April 1795.

The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas there is a marriage suddently intended to be had and solemnized between the above bound Jno Weatherred and Elizabeth Gilmore, now if there should be no lawful cause or impediment to obstruct the said marriage then this obligation to be void or else to remain in full force and virtue.
