The year Adam's father, Andrew Petersen, was in the Danish-German War was 1860. His Father was President of the High Priest Council, 1875 to 1900. Andrew Petersen worked at the State Penitentiary about 1866. He wasn't there when the prison was first opened. He was a Guard at the Prison.
Andrew Petersen was sent first to Summit County (Kamas) to take charge of the same thing as State Militia. He was the Captain of the group to go and get cattle from the Indians that had been stolen by the Indians.
About 1898, Adam's father went to Denmark and went to see the King. The King of Denmark pinned a medal on Andrew Petersen for his work in the Danish-German War. Andrew Petersen died 2 months after he returned home from this trip.
