Text: Crosby (p.853) wrote in her compilation: "Lee Hanks, grandson of Cris Cain told that about 1856-57, having acted as administrator under bond for his father's estate, Cris Cain and family moved to AR from where he asked leave to drop his role of administrator. This was apparently done as he stayed on in Parksdale, AR until he died in 1867 of pneumonia. He was a graduate of St. Mary's College in KY in law. This profession he carried on in AR until his demise at which time his brother-in-law, Thomas William Robins moved his family to Clinton in East Feliciana, LA, via steamer."
