    • Rosa died giving birth to an infant son. That son also died 2 months and 20 days later in 1898. The baby lived from 4/29/1898 until 7/20/1898. Rosa and her baby are buried in Taylors Creek Cemetery, Liberty County, Georgia (now part of Fort Stewart).

    Her tombstone reads in part: "Rosa D. Hendry, Wife of Dr. CW Hendry, Departed this life Apr 29 1989 aged 26 yrs, 9 mo, 13 days"
