No issue with Jesse Floyd. Jessie and Elizabeth married on April 3, 1843 according to records located at the Liberty County Courthouse, index of Marriages, Deaths, Estate Papers and Divorces.
However, there was an Elizabeth Hendry who married in 1819 to a Ephraim BUCK, son of Joseph BUCK and Ruth SEELEY; their children: Anna M, Sarah H., Mary H., Bowman H., Hannah S., Elizabeth H., Joseph, Ephraim, Emily H., and Charles H. - all BUCK. A possibility. This marriage, it is believed, took place in Morgan County, Georgia - where two close siblings were married as well as the suspect Graves Hendry.
Rev. John Littleberry Hendry, "A Brief History of the Hendry Family in the South," pp. 2-3, commented of Aunt Lizzie: "Aunt Lizzie developed into a lady of fine parts. She collected a library of good books...was a devout Christian, a liberal contributor to the support of the Methodist Church of which she was a member...She was married to Jesse Floyd when both of them were in their old age. She asked him to come and take charge of her farm and stock of several kinds and this he did successfully..."
