His occupation was as a wheelwright and planter. He is listed in the 1850 Liberty County Census, living in the household of Newman Bradley with wife Amanda (21), with occupation listed as wheelwright and personal value of $295. In 1860 Liberty County, Georgia census, all are listed up thru daughter Virginia...year of birth agrees with other records. He served in the civil war for Georgia, in Capt. Hughes Company.

His tombstone reads:" Our father, Littleberry Hendry, Born Oct 27, 1825 entered into rest Mch 1,1891 I have fought a good fight I have finished my course I have kept the faith II Tim IV 7
