I found a distant relative of mine (2nd cousin 4 x removed) which you had listed in conjunction with the Pioneers of Benton County, OR. Her name was Flora Canterbury and she was the daughter of George Washington Canterbury and Mary "Polly" Foster. How very interesting that she was in Oregon. Why would she be listed with R. S. Strahan? She did name one of her children Strahan. She married a John Quincy Vaughan. If I can be of any service to you with Flora's family, please call on me.
It just surprised me...I shouldn't have been I guess...lots of people made that migration to Oregon. This whole family probably made the trek as I have the death place for Flora's dad, George Washington Canterbury, as Willamette Fork, Lane Co., Oregon. Thanks for responding.
