Mary Alice Nunn was the eldest daughter of Newton Robinson Nunn and Mary Rizeor. She was born 7 May 1870 in Benton County, Oregon. She married Daniel ^Richard^ Hockley 9 May 1888 in Crook County, Oregon. In 1903, Mary Alice and Richard Hockley moved to the Big Valley District, Alberta, Canada with their six children. This is where the Canadian cousins come in. Mary Alice Nunn had three sisters, Matilda Zella, Josephine Adelaide, Iona ^Ona^ (1877 - 1878). Newton Robinson Nunn's wife, Mary Rizeor died at the age of 23 and Newton remarried, Sylva Jane Lewis, they had five children. to Saskatchewan, Canada in abt 1886
