    Former Corvallis resident Catherine E. King of Scappoose died Friday at a Scappoose care center. She was 87.
    She was born in Springfield, S.D. to Otto and Emma Yort Kundert and attended schools in South Dakota.
    She married Alton King in South Dakota. He preceded her in death in 1954.
    She lived in Corvallis, working as a janitor at Oregon State University before retiring in 1973. She had lived in Scappoose since 1976.
    Her life was her family, children and grandchildren.
    She is survived by daughters Rita Craver of Scappoose and Connie Ross of Corvallis and seven grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
    A private graveside service and interment will be held at Alpine Cemetery.
    Contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Disease Association.
    Columbia Funeral Home of St. Helens is in charge of arrangements.
