Yet RIVR Vol. 6 pp 272-277 list the following children
Benjamin, Elizabeth, Priscilla, Richard, John, Susannah and William of "Richard [& Priscilla]"
Richard 3 Sweet's homestead was located at E. Greenwich RI. His burial marker (a fieldstone) has the initials "RS." His will made 10 Mar 1728 names wife Prisillah, sons Richard, John, William, Benjamin, and dau's Pricilla, Elizabeth, and Susannah. Wife, Pricilla, executrix. That his wife's surname was Carpenter is proved by receipts received by Miriam Carpenter who, as executrix, distributed the estate of her husband Wm Carpenter. These receipts were signed by mark by Richard & Pricilla Sweet; and name Meriam & Wm Capenter as Pricilla Sweet's father & mother. [Bristol Co, Taunton MA Registry of Probate, Probate Bk 2:104]
Richard SWEET (8), b. 1652, of Newport, Rhode Island. son of John SWEET (2) and Elizabeth (JEFFERY). Richard m. Mehitable (LARKIN), 15 Dec 1673. he m. 2nd. Priscilla (CARPENTER) abt.1692. His will dated 10 Mar 1728 mentions his wife Priscilla, and sons, Richard, John, William, and Benjamin, daughters, Priscilla, Elisabeth and Susanna. Richard d. 1744
