My paternal great grandparents, the Sandbergs and Hallstroms, emigrated from Sweden in the 1880s and settled in what is now Pennington County, Minnesota. My database includes many families from Thief River Falls, Minnesota. On my mother's side, the Floyers are an ancient English West Country family. Much of my database deals with the genealogy of Devon, Dorset and Cornwall.

      Note: Sandy cautions re the Archibald line prior to 1790: "some of the linkages are guesswork as there is little written corroboration. What we have is Adam Archibald's gravestone details and the fact that he and his wife are the only Archibalds listed in the 1696 Poll Tax roll for the Presbytery of Strathbogie. I have assumed that all Archibalds in Glass and Huntly parishes are descended from this couple. I have used Old Parish Records (OPRs), Kirk Session Minutes, and some Land records in testing the theory. It seems to hang in fairly well."
