My paternal great grandparents, the Sandbergs and Hallstroms, emigrated from Sweden in the 1880s and settled in what is now Pennington County, Minnesota. My database includes many families from Thief River Falls, Minnesota. On my mother's side, the Floyers are an ancient English West Country family. Much of my database deals with the genealogy of Devon, Dorset and Cornwall.

      I collect old Bibles and, when possible, try to locate family members of any names that might be found in the family records. One of my Bibles, which was printed in 1736, contains over 4 pages of the family records of John Brickdale and Anne Fortescue Inglett. It is remarkable historic data in that it includes the times, not just dates, of the children's births and also their various illnesses.
