    structure, Winter Quarters, was expanded and later became the plantation
    home of Haller Nutt and Julia Williams. It was the last grant given by
    Don Joseph Vidal, Commandant of the Post of Concordia. 4 4 4

    Job Routh is believed to have been one of the earliest land owners in
    Tensas Parish. In 1798, he testified before land office officials
    concerning a land transaction there.
