    Charles Wiseman, son of Charles and Naomi Bray Wiseman, was born September 5th, 1861 in Switzerland County, Indiana and passed away July 21st, 1937 at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. In early life Mr. Wiseman was married to Elizabeth Detraz who preceded him in death several years ago. On the 30th day of June of this year he was married to Cordelia Danner, and she with his sister, Mrs. Susanna Scott, of this county, and brothers Henry and Samuel Wiseman of Warsaw, Indiana are left to mourn his passing.
    Mr. Wiseman was a member of the Vevay Baptist Church and moulded his life by its teachings, he was a man of high character, a splendid citizen, and his integrity was so outstanding that he held the respect and esteem of all who knew him, and so, while he has passed from material sight, he is still with us in thought, and we shall always think of him in the terms he gave us - Highest and Best.

    And tears will blind us to the blessed sight -
    We will not doubt - if darkness still doth try us -
    Our souls have promise of serenest light."
