ZUMBROTA -- Charles Gustav Post, 86, longtime Zumbrota resident, died Saturday at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. Born Feb. 26, 1881, in Neudenburg, Germany, to John and Anna Post, he married Emma Heydmann Sept. 20, 1905, at Zumbrota. She died May 7, 1954. Mr. Post was a retired farmer. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Alfred (Leona) Nibbe of Lake City; one son, Elmer Post of Houston, Minn; two brothers August and Henry Post of Zumbrota; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, one son, three brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Zumbrota, the Rev. Herbert Muenkel officiating. Interment was in Zumbrota Cemetery. Friends may call at Larson Funeral Home in Zumbrota this afternoon and evening and Tuesday forenoon, and then at the church one hour prior to services.
