John MORRIS and Mary HAMILTON md. sometime after 1850 and wereliving in Burnet Co. in 1870 (1870 TX Census). They died ca. 1873leaving about ten children, most of them minors. Mary's fatherwas John HAMILTON III. The City of Burnet is located on the JohnHAMILTON League. He had land in Williamson Co. and Travis Co.and lived at Webberville in eastern Travis Co. The HAMILTON'sare buried in the J.J. Manor Cemetery in Webberville. We do notknow when or where Mary and John MORRIS were married or buried. We do not know anything about John MORRIS except that he was b.in GA. Would like to know more. Also, my ancestors Robert HaynesPOGUE and his wife Martha Jerusha ABERNATHY lived in Burnet Co.at Fairland, (after living in Milam Co. 4-5 yrs.) and are buriedin the Churchyard at Crownover Chapel there. Evidently they settledin that area during the time the open range was being fenced andwere in the cedar fence post business. One of their grandsons,"B" POGUE was Burnet Co. Judge for 14 years and, lastI heard, still lives there. I'd enjoy communication with anyoneresearching this line of the POGUE family.
