She was born June 27, 1883 in the Abbott Community of Hill County, Texas, the daughter of Frank Lee and Jenny Margaret Melton Turner, pioneer Texans. She married John F. McDonald on November 24, 1901 in Hillsboro. Mrs. McDonald was a member of the First Baptist Church in McGregor. She moved to McGregor in 1927. She was also a member of Gold Star Mothers of America, American Legion Auxiliary of McGregor Chapter of The Eastern Star Lodge when the family moved to McGregor. She was preceded in death by her husband, and three sons, Captain Jerry R. McDonald, U.S.A.F., John V. McDonald and Frank R. McDonald.
    Survivors include: one son, O.P. McDonald of Mineola; four daughters, Kathleen Anderson of Dallas, Margaret Cawthron of McGregor, Mildred Blakely of Gatesville, and Rosemary Driver of Corpus Christi; ten grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and ten great-great grandchildren.
    Grave side services were held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, August 11, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro with Rev. Paul Owens officiating. Edens Funeral Home in Hillsboro was in charge of arrangements.
