        Text: [408] James Ormiston, born at Carnwath 1712, married first at Libberton 1728 Jean Dickson and with two daughters had three sons David, of whom presently; Francis, born 1734 and Thomas born 1737; he married second Janet Thorburn and with a daughter had two sons, James, and John, born 1760; James, born 1750, tenant in Millrigg and other places, married first Janet Prentice and with four daughters had two sons James and John, born 1782; James, born 1775, tenant in Millrigg married Janet Lithgow and with two daughters had two sons, James, born 1799, and John, born 1801. The eldest son by the first marriage.
