John Hollinshead of Sipes Mill, this county, died March 10, 1922, after a lingerling illness of several weeks, at the age of 73 years, 11 months and 7 days. Funeral services were held on Sunday the 12th inst., at Sideling Hill Baptist church, conducted by Rev. T. P. Garland and Elder C. L. Funk in the presence of a large gathering of friends. Interment in the cemetery near the church. [per Fulton County News item, 26 February 1903]
The deceased was a faithful member of the Christian church and leaves to mourn his death a widow and five sons--Jas. Hollinshead on the home farm; Reuben, Needmore R. D. 2; Rev. David, Warfordsburg, R. D. 1; Ross, Pittsburgh and Thomas near Andover. Five brothers also survive of a family of eight children, Richard, Plum Run; Benjamin, near Hancock; Thomas, Harrisonville and William and James, Franklin Mills
