Note: My mother Jean Fraley Beard was talking to Uncle George while on vacation in Kentucky in June of 1995. She ask him if he knew or remembered his grandparents John and Ellen Fisher Fryar. His said he remembered them very well. He said he went every where with his grandpa. He said he was his grandpa's shadow. He said his grandpa was the sweetest man ever. He said he never raised his voice and was always soft spoken. He said when his grandpa was plowing he would set on the drag so it wouldn't bounce. Now his grandma Ellen had a pretty good temper and she could be pretty ornry when she wanted to be. Uncle Ge orge said she was always a holloring at him but he said he was usually doing something to ge t hollored at for. Uncle George laughed that cute little laugh of his and said this is wha t she used to hollor at him. Little Georgie rattlesnake you mean little son of a bitch, yo u better mind me now. Then Uncle George said that Grandpa would say now Ellie he's just a li ttle boy. Uncle George said he sure did love his grandpa. Just like I loved my papaw. Geor ge is still living in Crittenden county, Kentucky as of July 1996.
He was 3 years 1 month old in 1920.
Uncle George died this morning around 3 AM of a heart attack. I sure am going to miss seein g him when ever I visit Kentucky. (4 Nov 1998)
