"Mildred T. Yaukey, age 86, of McConnellsburg, [Fulton Co.] PA passed away December 30, 2010 at the Fulton County Medical Center in the Long Term Nursing Care. She was born May 28, 1924 in Needmore, [Fulton Co.] PA, the daughter of the late Clyde and Estella Evertts Mellott. She was married to the late Humphrey Yaukey on January 27, 1950. Mildred was employed as a store clerk at the Big D in McConnellsburg for nearly 25 years. Mildred is survived by two daughters, Tina (wife of Mike) Reeder and Linda (wife of the late Gary )Grissinger of McConnellsburg, PA and one son Troy (husband of Kristy) Yaukey of McConnellsburg, PA, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister Kathleen Zimmerman of Warfordsburg, PA. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Estella Evertts Mellott and her husband Humphrey Yaukey. Funeral services will be held 12:00, Monday, January 3, 2011 at McConnellsburg United Methodist Church with visitation one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will be held at Union Cemetery [McConnellsburg] with the Rev. John Godissart officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Better Days Animal League, Shippensburg, PA or the Fulton County Medical Center, Women’s Auxillary, McConnellsburg, PA 17233.
