Margaret J. KESINGER, known as "Maggie" was born ca. 1849. She married Samuel B. MOYERS in 1865, and they resided in Gilmer Co. Gilmer Co. death records show six children of Samuel B. and M.J.MOYERS who died as follows:

Eva E. MOYERS - b: 1873, d: 4 Nov 1884, age 11 years
Warden B. MOYERS - b: 1873 - d: 15 Mar 1887, at Bull Run, age 14 years
Worth B. MOYERS - b: 1876, d: 6 February 1887 at Bull Run, age 11 years
Roda B. MOYERS - b: 1878 - d:31 Jan 1887 at Bull Run, age 9 years
Bertha D. MOYERS - b: 1880, d: 1 Feb 1887, age 7 years
This tragedy must have been due to disease, as two children died in the last two months of 1884 and four within the first three months of 1887 - two within 4 days of one another.
