Mrs. Lumsden Dies At Her Home
Funeral Held This Afternoon At the Residence, Death Came Sunday Night at 7:35 O'clock. (Feb. 4, 1940)
Funeral Services were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence for Mrs. Melisso Hardison Lumsden, aged 81, who died at her home at Pottsville Sunday night at 7:35 o'clock after a short illness of pneumonia. Elder Andy Largen conducted the service and burial was in the family cemetery.
Mrs. Lumsden was born and reared in Maury county and was a member of the Old Lasea Church of Christ.
Survivors are her daughters, Mrs. J. Lee Brown, of Pottsville, Mrs. R. H. Jackson, of Spring Hill, and Mrs C. C. Moore and Mrs. G. L. Pinkston, of Birmingham Ala.; her sons, W. H. Lumsden of Decatur, Ala., and Fletcher Lumsden, of Columbia, and several grandchildren.
Pallbearers were James Ring, Adolphus Ring, Jesse Brown, Ronald Jackson, Bud Jackson, and Curtis Jackson.
