    According to Aileen Green Lovell, Lucrates ran the mill, preached and with a brother Blackburn started the Lanton church of Christ about 1896. Green's Mill community was named for Lucrates.
    Obituary:
    Deceased was one of the most widely known and highly respected citizens of Maury County. He had been a preacher of the gospel of the Christian church for more than fifty-five years and during that time his life has been an inspiration to hundreds of people.
