The death of Larkin Hubbard of Hammons Ky,occurred at his home
on Saturday 4 June about 8 p.m.
Deceased was an old soldier of the Union Army ,49th Kentucky Regiment.
He fought for a year and a half until peace was declared.
Mr Hubbard was born in Knox Co on the waters of Stinking Creek
Oct 17th 1847,and has been a farmer all his life.His first wife died
6 years ago;his second wife survives him as do a brother Elijah Hubbard,
two sons J.F and Elijah Hubbard and four daughters Mrs Katherine Gibbons,
of Laurel Co,Amanda Samms of Corbin,Mary Mills of Barbourville,and
Matilda Messer of Flat Lick,and also a number of other relatives
who,with his many friends will mourn his depature.
The funeral was held Monday at Mills graveyard,Stinking Creek,Revs
Larkin Mills,Marcum Smith preaching the funeral sermon
