In memory of my Dad, Duell Franklin 'Frank' Beard who passed away 27 July 2009 in Ogden, Weber County, Utah. He loved his family and he also loved to do family history. I am sure going to miss you Daddy, love you always and forever. Also to my Aunt Helen, Daddy's sister (and other mother) who followed him just a month later, she missed her Toggy Boy...

    OBITUARY: Denton Record Chronicle, issue dated 2 March 1936 "D. E. ELDER of Pilot Point Dies" Special to Record-Chronicle, Pilot Point, March 2 -- D. E. ELDER, 82 resident of Pilot Point 30 years, died Friday night at the home of a daughter, Mrs. O. S. Thomas of Dallas, following a long illness. Funeral services were held at the local Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. E. B. Jackson with burial in the Masonic cemetery. Active pallbearers were fellow Masons: J. E. Selz, R. L. Massey, G. B. Moffitt, C. L. Edwards, J. R. Jones and F. W. Hayden. Masonic rites were in charge of the local lodge, with representatives from the Denton and Tioga groups assisting. ELDER is survived by six children: Mrs. Thomas, Dee ELDER of Pilot Point, Francis ELDER of Trinidad, Clark ELDER of South America, Will ELDER of Cleveland, Ohio and Mrs. Lillian Bowman of Marfa. He is also survived by two brothers, T. J. ELDER of Decatur and H. D. ELDER of Washington State, and six grandchildren.
