    Hello,

On your Home Page there is mentioned a Keziah Dunbar ~1813 - in NH --
    July 1875.

I am searching for the parents of my great-great grandmother, Keziah
Dunbar. It is said she was born in New Hampshire. She married Ralph
Russell (date and place unknown) and lived in Minerva, Essex Co., NY.
Died 1 July 1875. Buried in Union Cemetery, North Creek, Warren Co., NY.

In "Robert Dunbar of Hingham, Masssachusetts" by Ann Theopold Chaplin,
pp. 135, 136, the sons of John Dunbar (p.134), Appollas and Hosea Ballou,
were in Minerva in 1830 census. Appollas was listed as having 5 sons and
3 daughters in household. However, I don't think he was old enough to be
father of Keziah - tho' might be. I do not have a birth date for her. I
have wondered if she was daughter of Appolos Dunbar and Abigail Packard,
married Ralph Russell in NH, and then they came to Minerva with her
cousins. Especially since Appolos and Abigail had a daughter named
Keziah born 17 Oct 1814. Their oldest daughter was Harriet, and Keziah
    D. Russell named her first dgt. Harriet. Ralph and Keziah had 14 or 15
children. Harriet married Elijah Stanley, had 10 children. The
youngest, Bertha Mae, was my grandmother who married John L. Brown.
Ralph Russell was the son of Jonathan Russell of Milton, MA who was born
in 1759. Died 15 Dec 1839. Buried in Gore Cemetery, Igerna, NY. (Not
far from Minerva). Ralph was born in NH. Died 3 Oct 1863. I believe he
    is buried near his parents.

John Dunbar followed his two sons to Minerva. He was born in Easton,
Bristol Co. MA -1775. Moved to Grantham, NH with his father (John) at
age 19. Married Sally Ammidon in 1801. In 1818 moved to Sand Lake,
Rensselear Co., NY. The to Ludlow, VT in 1820. To Minerva in 1831. In
1835 moved to Brighton, Lorain Co., OH where he died 18 Jan 1838. He had
several children. None were named Keziah that I know of.

If you are able to give me any firm information concerning the parents
and birthday of a Keziah Dunbar who married Ralph Russell and lived in
Minerva, NY, I will greatly appreciate it. I am on AOL but prefer to use
juno for my e-mail. I know it is possible to chat with someone - my
dgt. does with her cousins - but I'm not sure I am sufficiently competent
on this thing to do so! Thank you for reading all this.

    Dear Pat,

A later thank you than I intended. For putting me in contact with M. Russell, and sending me info. It certainly will help us go forward, I'm sure. Mr. Russell and I were both raised in the Adirondacks so probably know some of the same people though not each other. I have a letter ready to mail Darlene Russell as have no e-mail for her.

The rug cleaners are coming this am. A lot to do. My genealogy seaching has to be done in dribbles. We have two adult children in wheelchairs who require a great deal of help. And our grandchildren live next door and are in and out a lot. So please be patient with my hit and miss operation! I do have a lot of family tree on my maternal side - New England- nearly 60 surnames - so perhaps could help someone with hunting in that direction. Dunbar and Russell are paternal lines.

    In haste - Mary

    Pat,

In doing an internet search for Keziah DUNBAR, I came across one of your
pages. I have an ancestor by this name. Your records indicate that
Keziah married Ralph Russell and she died Oct. 3, 1863. The info that I
have states that Keziah was from N.H.

However, I have some family history that was given to me that has Keziah
married to Ralph Russell however, she died July 1,1875 at the age of 63
and is buried in the North Creek, New York cemetery. According to the
1865 census records of ??, Keziah is listed as a widow of 49 years
    having had 15 children.

I have a published source for Robert Dunbar of Hingham, Massachusetts
that lists a Keziah Dunbar born Oct. 17, 1814, at Granville, New
Hampshire dau. of Apollas and Abigail (PACKARD). This Keziah is
probably the same one that married Ralph Russell but I have not
confirmed this connection. I also have some info on another Keziah
Dunbar in the same family line that was married to Samuel Metcalf Apr.
    15,1795.

Hope this info is of help. Any info on Keziah (b. abt 1812) would be
    appreciated.
