BIO: Letter, received 4-4-1994, page 9, from John and Mary Pitzer says John and his wife Hester came from Poland and first settled in Trucker Co., (W) Va. Their name was originally Pilsner.
HERMSTAD record "PITZER of New Jersy, Virgina, Maryland, Ohio, & West, 1998" says John was son of John Pitzer (3682) and Elizabeth (3681). According to Census, they lived in Monongalia Co., VA, in 1830, in Randolph Co., in 1840, and in Barbour Co., in 1850. (Barbour County was formed from Randolph Co. in 1843.) Children (speculative - from census): John M. Pitzer (3682)
