Note: Eli 6 BIGELOW, son of Amasa 5 ( David 4 , Lt. John 3 , Joshua 2, John 1 ), and Jemima (STRONG) BIGELOW, was born 29 May 1756 at Colchester, New Lo ndon county, Connecticut. He married (1) Anna Freeman; they lived a few ye ars at Colchester, and had three children recorded at Westchester paris h. They then moved to Brookfield, Orange county, Vermont (where the same t hree children were again recorded) and lived there until circa 1795, th en returned to Connecticut. Eli, who had served in the Revolutionary Wa r, claimed pension, and in 1820 Anna was still living, but deceased by 182 5. Eli married (2)19 May 1825 at East Haddam, Esther Gates. He died 22 M ar 1836 at Chatham, Connecticut and is buried at Mt. Parnassus cemetery, E ast Haddam, Middlesex, Connecticut. I am researching William Wells for Hanover's Bicentennial, and have found nothi ng else so far, except that he was supposed to be from Glastonbury, Connec ticut, according to a local history. Also, that he gave Ohio land to rela tives named Chester Wells, Elisha Wells, and John Hollister. Do you have any further information on him?
