    Joel Pitman, became a noted Methodist Preacher in 1812. Sar ah Currence, Joel's Wife's father Samuel Currence, died i n the War 1812. And was given a military burial.
    Joel Pitman's father-in-law was Samuel Currence, his mother -in-law Elizabeth Currence.
