----MARY (WILTSE/WILSEY) MOTT----
----Death occurred on Saturday at the resident of her sons , Mr. Alonzo Mott, East Brantford, of Mrs. Mary Mott at th e advanced age of 93 years. Deceased's maiden name was Mar y Wiltsie and she was born in 1815 in Farmersville (now Ath ens) in Eastern Ontario. In 1838 she was married to Mr. Da niel Mott of that place who predeceased her about ten year s ago.
Eleven children blessed this union, nine of whom now su rvive: Mrs. A. McConkey of Echo Place; Mrs. Myers of Chicag o; Mrs. Silverthorne of New Lothrop, Michigan; Mr. Alonzo M ott of Brantford; Mrs. George Herriman of Echo Place; Mrs . Young of Brantford; Mrs. Hobson of Caro, Michigan; Mr. Jo hn Mott of Detroit, Michigan; Mrs. Charles Gilroy of Winnip eg. Mr. and Mrs. Mott moved to this county in 1850, finall y settling on James Street, Echo Place where they resided t ill after Mr. Mott death since when Mrs. Mott has made he r home with her children. Although having reach a good ol d age the dear old lady, strange to say, retained all her m ental faculties until the last and up to quite recently wa s enjoying the best health and a fair share of energy. Fo r the last ten weeks however she has been slowly failing, b ed ridden at the last with creeping paralysis. The funera l took place yesterday afternoon from her son's residence , city, to Farringdon Cemetery, her casket being borne by h er grandsons.
