Eve/Eva (d1246) married William de Braose (Briouze), son o f Reginald de Braose, before 1219. They had four daughters , and William de Braose was hanged by Llywelyn ap Iorwert h in 1230. The stated reason for the hanging was the accusa tion that William had dallied with Llywelyn’s wife Joan, ba stard of King John. This does not withstand close scrutiny , and William was in all probability hung for the crimes o f his grandfather, William de Braose lord of Bramber and Ab ergavenny, against the Welsh.
