    Following is what I have for the family of Jonathan Fairfax Duunington beginning with his parents:

    William Dunnington b. circa 1768 Chas Co, MD, d. 1847 Fairmont (W) VA, son of Peter Dunnington Sr (Rev War Sgt.) & Sarah Monroe, m. 1st circa 1786 to Louester Fairfax, daughter of Jonathan Fairfax. They had 2 sons but one died in infancy. Willaim m. 2nd circa 1790 Parthenia Maddox. They had 8 children (have their info).

    Jonathan Fairfax Dunnington b. 1789 Chas Co, MD, d. unknown, m. before 1820 to
    Elizabeth Ellen Carpenter b. 1790s, d. 1850. Jonathan was a Constable (1847) &
    Justice of the Peace (1848) of Chas Co. They had 7 known children & possibly 2
    others (have info for 7).

    William G. Dunnington b. circa 1833 Chas Co., MD, 7th son of Jonathan &
    Elizabeth Dunnington, m. in Cgas Co. to Mary Maddox b. circa 1848, daughter of
    James F. Maddox, d. 4/2/1869. No record of children or a later marriage for
    William (until now?)

    Above is well-documented data from the book "The Dunnington Family of Charles
    County, Maryland" by my cousin James G. Elgin. Hope it helps! Let me know if

    Have the following for the family of William Dunnington & Parthenia Maddox:

    William Dunnington b. circa 1768 Chas Co, MD, d. 1847 Fairmont (W) VA, son of
    Peter Dunnington Sr (Rev War Sgt.) & Sarah Monroe, m. 1st circa 1786 to
    Louester Fairfax, daughter of Jonathan Fairfax. They had 2 sons but one died in
    infancy. Willaim m. 2nd circa 1790 Parthenia Maddox (daughter of Ignatius Maddox
    b. 1730 Chas Co., d. 1/19/1777 & Sarah Gray, also have names of their other
    children).

    8 Children of William & Parthenia were:

    Richard Dunnington b. circa 1794 Chas Co, MD, Capt. of Militia - War of 1812, m.
    1st 6/17/1827 Harrison Co, VA to Frances Whitehead, m. 2nd 2/29/1844 to Alsadana
    Sibbons b. 1808 Maine, m. 3rd 2/1854 to Alexandria ???. Richard had 7 children.

    Sophia Parthenia Dunnington b. 5/20/1796 Chas Co, MD, d. 4/5/1853 Washington Co,
    OH, m. 2/16/1826 Fairmont, (W) VA to Thomas West b. 9/20/1794 VA. They moved to
    Morgan Co, OH with brother Richard & family above. No data on children.

    Allison Dunnington b. 1797 Chas Co, MD, m. 3/17/1831 Harrison Co, WVA to Mary
    Knott b. 1815. They had 7 children.

    William Monroe Dunnington b. 12/21/1800 Prince Edward Co, VA, d. 1/9/1879 Marion
    Co, WVA, m. 1st 9/3/1826 Harrison Co, (W) VA to Lucy Burdett d. 1836, m. 2nd
    10/27/1836 jane Elizabeth Kidwell b. 10/12/1813 Baltimore, MD, d. 8/10/1882.
    William was a carpenter. They had 5 known children.

    Walter Dunnington b. 1804 Prince Wm. Co, VA (?), m. 4/24/1828 to Sarah Tutt b.
    1808. Walter was a blacksmith. They lived in Taylor Co, WVA and had 7 children.

    Noah Monroe Dunnington b. 1807 Dumfries, VA, d. 10/1885 Clarksville, VA, m.
    7/7/1830 Harrison Co, (W) VA to Catherine W. Ferguson b. 1811 VA, d. 1891
    Clarksville, VA. Noah was a tailor. They had 8 children.

    James Dunnington b. 1808 MD, m. 10/6/1831 Monongalia Co, VA to Theresa Louisa
    O'Neil b. 1814 PA, daughter of William O'Neil. The family was in OH by 1842. No
    data for children.

    Samuel Dunnington b. 4/8/1812 Dumfries, VA, Civil War - MO Home Guard, d.
    2/22/1880 Miller Co, MO, m. 10/26/1835 Richland Co, OH to Sophia Noonfield b.
    2/18/1816 PA. They had 7 children. Sophia moved with some of the children to
    Applegate, OR in 1884 & d. 7/19/1900 Jacksonville, OR.
