    DIGGES, EDWARD, St Mary's Co. 10 Jun, 1769; 18 Dec, 1769
    Being conscious that it was my father's will that bros. William and Henry Digges, shd. have an equal pt. with me of all the lands in Maryland, or elsewhere, shall put up lands for sale for the discharge of debts; all lands in Frederick Co., which belong to me, shall be sold for equal benefit of daus.: Elizabeth, Elianor and Mary Digges; desire my share of the Hampton Iron Works be sold.
    To son John Digges, 1/5 of personal estate; in case he returns to this Province of Maryland and not a religious otherwise, it shall be equally divided between daus. Elizabeth, Mary and Eleanor.
    To son Edward Diggs, and dau. Ann Digges, 35 #. currency annually, during their life, by 3 daus.
    Desire son John, pay 1/5 pt.
    To sons-in-law Charles and Jesse Whorton, 10 guineas.
    To bro. Wm. Digges, 1/2 of the money due on "Dillinger's" bond, when discharged, and the other half to 3 daus.
    Desire bro. William Digges, to have a patent for tract on Little Pipe Creek, which we had a dispute with Barrister Charles Carroll, Esq., which we agreed to divide when patented.
    Exs: 3 daus. and bros.-in-law Raphael Neale and George Sly.
    Wit: Elizabeth Plowder, Mary Winsett, Joseph Harding.
