Rev. Edward Dominic Fenwick was the son of Ignatius Fenwick III and Sarah Taney. Donnelly had also gotten the mother messed up because she said that she was Sarah Taney Cole, dau. of Edward Cole, Jr. and Sarah Brooke Taney. No, she wasn't. Her name was Sarah Taney and she was the daughter of Michael Taney and Sarah Brooke. Ignatius Fenwick III and Sarah Taney didn't even have a son named John.

Fenwick, Edward Dominic, O.P., Bishop of Cincinnati, Ohio,
U.S., was a native of Maryland, but descended from the ancient family of Fenwick, originally of Fenwick Tower, CO. Northumberland. He was born Aug. 19, 1768, and was a younger brother of Fr. John Ceslaus Fenwick, O.P. At the age of sixteen he entered the Dominican College of Bornhem, in Flanders, was professed March 26, 1790, and, after teaching in the College, was ordained priest in June, 1792.
