Thomas Richard Gardiner in his Gardiner book, p 31 says that Joseph Gardiner s/o John Gardiner and Elizabeth Hussey married in 1708 Elizabeth Cole, d/o Edward Cole and Elizabeth Slye. He is wrong. Neither of the parental couples had any children.
