    Esther May Hafer, 89, Robeson Township, died April 15 in Reading Hospital. Her husband, Victor L. Hafer, died Oct. 28, 1998. Born in Robeson Township, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Sarah E. (Dice) Templin.

    Hafer was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Gibraltar.

    She is survived by a daughter, Sarah E. (Hafer) Doaty, Birdsboro; and two sons, Walter L., Douglassville, and Victor E., Reading. Other survivors include a brother, George F. Templin, Birdsboro, and a sister, Mary R. (Templin) Stevens, Robeson Township. There are also six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

    Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Dengler Funeral Home Inc., Birdsboro. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gibraltar.
