    Died 3-12-2001, a resident of Wood Presbyterian Home, formerly of Ball Play, passed away at 3 :50 p.m., Monday, March 12, at Sweetwater Hospital. She was a member of Oak Grove Friends Church. She was 89.

    Preceded in death by husband, Earl Best; daughter, Sandra Millsaps; parents, Warren and Darcus Hodge, sisters, Sally Debety and Minnie Brown Free.

    Survivors include: daughters and son in law, Jennie Lou McMahan of Vonore, and Wanda and W. D . (Buck) Gray of Madisonville; sons and daughters in law Herman and Pauletta Best, Allen and Shirley Best and Billy Best, all of Tellico Plains; 19 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; Sister - Mae Poston of Canton, N.C.; several nieces and nephews

    Funeral services will be at 8 p.m., Wednesday, in Biereley-Hale Chapel, with Revs. Beecher Mi ller and Don Fain officiating. Interment will be 11 a.m., Thursday, in Oak Grove Friends Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday. Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville, in charge of arrangements.
