She left a Will dated 16 Feb 1716, Westmoreland, VA, naming her daughter Mary Finch; her sons John Finch, Robert Finch, James Abington, John Parsons, Joseph Parsons; her granddaughter Ann; her grandsons John Finch & Lawrence Abington; her daughter Mary Nickhols

Martha Finch married Jesse Chappell. Martha's father was Blagdon Finch. Blagdon Finch's father was John Finch, who stated in a deed that his mother was Dorothy Blagdon, daughter of John Blagdon by his first wife.

- PARSONS's Admon granted DOROTHY PARSONS, Relict of JOHN PARSONS, deced., came into Court and made Oath that JOHN PARSONS departed this life without makeing any Will soe farr as she knows or believes and upon her Petition Certificate is granted her for obtaineing Letters of Administration on the Decedent's Estate in due form, THOMAS ROBINS assumeing in Court to be Security for her due administration according to Law; And it is ordered JOHN HIGDON, NATHANIELL WASHINGTON, AMBROSE BAXTER and JAMES CREED or any three ofthem being first sworn before one ofhis Majesty's Justices for this County doe some timebefore the next Court value and appraise the Estate ofthe Decedent and make report thereof to the next Court

- PARSONS's Will proved The Last Will and Testament of DOROTHY PARSONS, deced. was presented into Court by JAMES ABBINGTON, her Executor, who made Oath thereto and being proved by the Oath of MARK CULLUM, one of the wittnesses thereto is admitt to Record; And upon motion of the Executor and hisperforming what is usual in such cases, Certificate is granted him for obtaining a Probate thereof in due form, And it is ordered JAMES CREED, AMBROSE BAXTER, NATHANIEL WASHINGTON and MARK CULLUM or any three of them being first sworn before one ofhis Majesties Justices for this County doe some time before the next Court to be held for this County value and appraise the Estate of the Testator and make report thereof to the next Court
