Westmoreland County Court 27th of February 1705/06
- LORD, William v TAYLOR, Jemes, Gent.
Mr. WILLIAM LORD, Son of JOHN LORD, late of this County, Gentl, deced., and ELIZABETH his Wife by his Peticon to this Court setting forth that his Mother dureing her Widdowhood did by her certain Deed of Gift bearing date the last day of February 1693 give and grant to him and his Brother, ROBERT LORD, certain goods and chattels in the sd. Deed mentioned to bee delivered to them at the age of nineteen and in case of the death of either of them before that age, the whole to the Survivor, that his said Brother died before hee attained the sd age, that he arrived at the sd. age in January one thousand seven hundred and four, therefore prayed Order to bee possest thereof, the same being now in the custody of JAMES TAYLOR, Gent., who since the date of the said Deed intermarried with his said Mother and JAMES TAYLOR being also present in Court and not saying any thing to hinder the same but shewing all willingness thereto, it is ordered that CALEB BUTLER, Gent., NATHANIELL POPE, SENR. and NATHANIELL POPE, JUNR. do on the third Wednesday in March next meet at the house of the said JAMES TAYLOR and sett apart for the sd. WILLIAM LORD all and singular such goods and Estate for the use of WILLIAM LORD as by the sd. Deed were so given and conveyed to him and his Brother, ROBERT LORD, And that hee bee forthwith possessed ofthe smae and every part thereof
