I, Edward Ware Boswell of CC, for and in consideration that Francis Warren Hawkins and Thomas Hopewell, both of CC, have been heretofore become my security to Francis Ware, late Sheriff of CC, a considerable sum of money, and also in consideration of 10 shillings, give sd Francis Warren Hawkins and Thomas Hopewell, 1 Negro girl named Betty, about age 11, 1 Negro boy named Nace, about age 7, 1 Negro boy named Harry, about age 5, 1 Negro boy named Jim, about age 3, ard 2 horses.
