    Being in perfect sense and memory , thou weak in body, but Blessed be God in perfect ___, as followeth:
    Imprimis: I bequeath my Soul to God in Jesus Christ who was my Creator and Redeemer, in whom I trust to be my Creator, to save me again at the last day in Glory. I also bequeath my body to the earth from whence it had its being, to be orderly and decently buried and my worldly goods, as follows:
    Imprimis: I give unto my grand daughter Margaret Spilman, a certain parcel of land lying on E/S Modoro Branch, commonly known as Whitins during her lifetime; and after her decease to return to my grandson Robert Frank., and if my grandson Robert Frank should die without issue lawfully begotten of his own body, to return to my grandson, William Plunkett

    Could the Thomas Marshall mentioned in the land description when John Marshall bought land from John and Pricilla Hamilton be the son of Thomas Jr. Marshall. Thomas Robbins is also mentioned and he was the brother in law of Basil Bayley.

    In Apr 1740 in Westmoreland County, Virginia. James Hamilton and Priscilla, his wife, sold to JOHN MARSHALL of Westmoreland County, Virginia., Planter, for 27 pounds 10 shillings current money of Va. a tract of 100 acres lying in Washington Parish, Westmoreland County, Virginia. being part of a tract of 1200 acres patented & granted to Col. Nicholas Spencer on 22 Sept 1668 and bounded as follows:
    Beginning at a small red oak, corner tree of the land of THOMAS ROBBINS, extending north along his line to a marked red oak, thence extending along the land of GOOF’s from thence East to the line that divides this land from the land of THOMAS ASBURY’s, from thence South along said Asbury’s line 144 poles to the land of THOMAS MARSHALL’s, from thence West along said THOMAS MARSHALL’ s line 111 poles and 5 links to the place it began.

Mr. William MacKay now liveth and Major Jere Murdok.

Lord Thomas Fairfax in 1737.

    THIS INDENTURE made the 9th day of April in the 13th year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the 2nd by the grace of God of Great Brittain France and Ireland, King, Defender of the faith &c., and in the year of our Lord God 1740,
    Between RALPH FALKNER of the Province of MARYLAND and JOHN TRIPLETT of Virginia of the Parish of Washington in County of Westmoreland of one part and JOHN PIPER of Parish & County afsd. of other part: Witnesseth that RALPH FALKNER and JOHN TRIPLETT in consideration of the sum of five shillings current money to them in hand paid by JOHN PIPER, the receipt whereof RALPH FALKNER and JOHN TRIPLETT doth hereby acknowledge, hath and by these presents doth bargain and sell unto JOHN PIPER all that parcell of land containing 250 acres. it being part of a great tract of land belonging to RALPH FALKINER and JOHN TRIPLETT by Pattent bearing date the 28th day of August 1737, scituate in Washington Parish in County of Westmoreland and is bounded. Begining at a corner marked red Oake, corner to a tract of land formerly belonging to JAMES BOWCOCK, now in possession of GEORGE MUNROE, and extending thence W. 110 po:, thence No. 30d. E. 40 po: thence W. 80 poles to the Main Road, that leads to WASHINGTONs MILL, thence down the Road So. 4d. W. 134 poles. thence So. 57d. E. 263 poles to the line of the land of said BOWCOCK, thence No. id. W. along said BOWCOCKs line crossing DEEP RUN and tuning near the WHITE OAK SWAMP 250 poles to the begining, Together with all houses and advantages rents issues and profits thereof; To have and to hold the land and premises unto JOHN PIPER his heirs during the term of one whole year paying therefor the Rent of one Ear of Indian Corn on the Birthday of our Lord God nett ensuing if lawfully demanded, to the intent that by virtue of these presents and of the Statute for transfering uses into possession, JOHN PIPER may be in the actual possession of the premises and be thereby enabled to accept a release of the inheritance thereof to him and his heirs: In Witness whereof RALPH FALKNER and JOHN TRIPLETT to this present Indenture hath set their hands and seals the day and year first above written
