    William Poston's Will. May 29, 1777.
    I, William Poston of CC, am weak of body but of perfect mind and memory.
    To my wife Priscilla Poston - the use of my estate, both real and personal, during her natural life or widowhood_ After her death, all the lands are to be sold to the highest bidder. If she marries, my personal and real estate is to be immediately divided among my children.
    To my son Jeremiah Poston - one eighth part of the produce of all the sale of my lands.
    To my children, Elias Poston, Alexander Poston, Richard Poston, Judith Poston, Anne Poston, and William Poston - each of them, one eighth part of the money arising from the sale of my lands, and all the personal ., beloved wife .. to be equally divided between them
    To my sister-in-law Rachel Noe - she is to be taken care of by my wife and children.
    Signed Jan 8, 1774 - William (W his mark) Poston. Wit - John Sothoron, James Waters, William waters.
    On May 29, 1777 came John Sothoron and James Waters, and made oath that they saw the testator sign the afd will_
    N.B. Jeremiah Poston, heir at law to the decd, living in North Carolina, could not have notice to be present.
    On May 29, 1777, came Priscilla Poston, widow of William Poston, late of CC, deceased, and made her election to stand by the legacies bequeathed in sd will, in regard to real estate only and claims her dower of thirds] in the personal estate.
