Henry DARNALL, half of proceeds to be given to Rev. Thomas MANSELL, priest, and residue for benefit of estate, and to sell 1050 A., "Brandferd," on Tuckahoe branch, eastern shore, proceeds to be used to benefit of estate. In event of there remaining any claim for lands, negroes, stock, etc., bought from cous. Charles PYE, sd. claim to be placed against brother William DIGGES and hrs., for whose use sd. purchases were made. Exs. are empowered to pay all money due at college of St. Omers, to Feb., 1711, for education of brother Dudley DIGGES, provided he make no claim against test. as ex. of estate of father or of mother; and to him is devised, if he return to the province within 3 yrs. and shall not take holy orders, certain ne!
groes. To brothers Charles, William, John and Dudley DIGGS, and sister Mary and child. of sister Mary NEALE, i. e., niece Mary and her brothers --, residue of personal estate. Indenture, 2 Apr 1728; Between Henry Darnall and Anne his wife of one part and John Hyde of Poplar, Middlesex, Great Britain, merchant; for 5s; a tract all His Lordship's Kindness adjoining the dwelling plantation of Henry Damall; containing 7,000 acres (except 300 acres Henry Darnall conveyed to his eldest son Henry Darnall); also Mark's Place of 1,100 acres;
also two tracts commonly called Timberly and General's Gift, each containing 500 acres, excepting such parts of the last 2 tracts heretofore conveyed by Darnall to John Miller and Arnold Livers & so many acres of all these 4 tracts; one commonly called The Defence containing 150 acres; another called Hayle's Adventure 150 acres; Charles Hills of 500 acres whereof 200 acres belonging to Darnall; the fourth commonly called Darnall's Delight containing 1,900 acres to be the same as with the sd. tract called Mark's Place and the unsold parts of the said 2 tracts called Timberly and General's Gift shall make up together 2,500 acres; part of the estate of Col. Mad.m Ann Darnall Aged Sixty five Years or there abouts
taken upon Oath before Edward Spriggs Justice of the Peace
of the aforesaid County this 24.th day of September 1750

This Examinant or Deponant Saith that she was
Personately acquainted with M.r Ignatious Brook
in Great Britain and Know'd the said Brook to be a
Priest of the Church of Rome and that to the best of
her Remembrance she has heard the said Brook
Say Mass and the said Brook told this Deponant that
he lived in Sheffeld and Exersized the function of a
Priest in those parts This Deponant further Saith
that she knew M.r Matthew Brook and that the said
dyed in this Province and was Buried at Port Tobacco
in Charles County as she was told by M.r Robert Brook
and Sundry others but was not at his funeral and
further Saith not
