Rebecca was born in Brunswick, Va. She died April 29, 1859 in Rutherford Co, NC in the community of Sunshine. Believe it or not the house (log cabin covered by siding) is still standing and I have been in it!! Every year the Harrison's of Rutherford Co, NC have a family reunion. John died a day before Rebecca April 28, 1859...same place of course.
    Children were:
    1) Martha "Patty" Harrison b Greensville Co, Va 11 Mar 1795 m Spencer P. Norvell 2 April 1836
    2) Eliz R Harrison b Greenville Co, Va 8 June 1796 m Jesse Smiley (believe I
saw a Jesse Smiley in a NC county not that far from Rutherford..
    3) Edward Dillehay Harrison b 1 Jan 1798 Greensville Co, VA m Cynthia Martha
    McCurry 14 April 1830
    4) William DeKalb Harrison b 22 Oct 1799 Greensville Co, VA
    5) Sarah Sally Harrison b 24 Jan 1801 Greensville Co, VA m Bushout?
    6) Daniel Harrison b 13 Aug 1802 Greensville Co, VA
    7) Harding Charles Harrison b 3 Jan 1804 Greensville Co, VA
    8) Starling Harrison b 5 April 1806 Greensville Co, Va
    9) Simeon Harrison b 27 Oct 1807 Greensville Co, VA m Nancy Jane Jones 30 Jan 1859 in Carroll Co, GA
    10) James R Harrison b 25 Mar 1809 Greensville Co, VA m Mary Lands 16 Nov 1838
Simeon Harrison, Eliz's younger brother, is my husband's great grandfather. Martha Patty Harrison apparently prior to marriage had a son John Wilkie least that is everyone's guess. All the descendants of John
Wilkie Harrison are still living in and around the community of Sunshine and
are the Harrison's who hold the reunion.
When Rebecca and John died Martha Patty wrote to her brother Simeon in Carroll Co, Ga telling him of their death and asking him to come home as he and a brother were executors of John's Will. Simeon newly married (at a rather old age) is not thought to have gone back to NC and instead the home and land passed down to John Wilkies descendants.
