Jonas N. Mowrer Dies at Congress Thursday
Jonas N. Mowrer, aged 77 years, 10 months and 21 days, died at 7 a.m. Thursday at the home of his son, Charles Mowrer, north of Congress.
The body was brought to Wooster and taken to the Bevington & McCullough Funeral Home, where it may be viewed Friday evening from 7 to 9 o'clock. Funeral services will be held from the Bevington & McCullough Funeral Home Saturday at 2 p.m., and burial will take place in Overton cemetery.
The surviving children are Mrs. Walter Johnson, Charles Mowrer, Mrs. Lloyd Herman and Ora Mowrer, West Salem, and Mrs. Frank Hershberger, and Ira Mowrer, Wooster.

(Note: His age at death given in the above obituary would make him born in 1854, which is incorrect. Census and tombstone data support a birth year of 1864.)
