    From the Wayne County Democrat, Dec. 19, 1900:

    OVERTON
    Mrs. Wilson Christy, an estimable lady one mile west of here, died last Tuesday noon of heart failure. She had been ailing for some time. She was aged 59 years and 7 months. Funeral services were conducted at the residence on Thursday by Rev. Scott of West Salem. Interment at Congress. Funeral was attended by a large concourse of friends and relatives.
