T.G. Mowrer, Overton Area
Thomas Grover Mowrer, 73, Wayne Twp. farmer, died Tuesday afternoon in Community Hospital, where he had been since Monday afternoon. He had been in ill health for five years.
He was born in Chester Twp. May 18, 1885, to Benjamin and Magdalena Matti Mowrer. He spent all his life in the Overton community.
He is survived by his wife, Meda Wilson Mowrer; four sons, Eldon, Donald, and Roger of Wooster, and Norman at home; a daughter, Mrs. John Bahl of RD 1; two brothers William and Harry of RD 6; three sisters, Mrs. Robert Condry of Burbank, Mrs. Olie Conn of RD 6, and Mrs. Harry Ogden of West Salem; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Services will be held on Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the McIntire Funeral Home with the Rev. Homer Denny of Bethel Church of God officiating.
Friends will be received 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Overton Cemetery.
