She came to the U.S. in 1868 with her widowed mother, brother, and sister.

Mrs. Magdalena Mowrer died Sunday, Aged 80
Mrs. Magdalena Mowrer, aged 80 years, widow of Benjamin Mowrer, died at noon Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. O.G. Conn, Wayne township, after an illness of some weeks. The surviving children are, John F., Samuel E., Mrs. Robert Condry, Thomas G., Mrs. Conn, William A. and Harvey W. Mowrer, living in the vicinity of Wooster, and Mrs. Harry M. Ogden of West Salem.
Friends will meet at the house at 2 p.m. Tuesday and funeral services arranged by Bevington and McCullough will be held at 2:30 from the Bethel church at Overton, with Rev. Levers conducting.
