He owned land in sect. 13 of Chester Twp. in 1897. Ben Mowrer died intestate.

CHESTER TP. FARMER TAKEN BY DEATH
Benjamin F. Mowrer, life-long resident of Chester township, died at midnight Thursday night at his home as the result of paralysis with which he was afflicted for five years. He was able to be about the house until the last, however, and although he showed a renewal of the attack Saturday night, he was able to be at the supper table Thursday evening.
Mr. Mowrer was born in Chester township Dec. 7, 1855, and lived on a farm there all of his life. He is survived by a wife and the following children: John, Edward, William and Mrs. Max Ogden of Chester township, Mrs. Maggie Condra and Mrs. Mary Conn of Wayne township, and Harry, who is with the headquarters company of the 142d regiment in France. Mrs. Conn is ill with pneumonia at the Kinney & Knestrick hospital.
Private funeral services will be held Sunday at 10 a.m. at the home, conducted by Rev. E.E. Young of Wooster. Interment will be at Overton.

Overton Man Victim Early Friday Morning
Benjamin F. Mowrer, a farmer, died early Friday at his home near Overton, from pneumonia, following influenza. Mr. Mowrer was born in Ohio December 7, 1855, being in the 63rd year of his age. One of his daughters, Mrs. Ola Conn, of north of the city, is in a hospital here, ill with pneumonia.
